Two rows of men in kandura and ghutra hold their canes, the drums play and the chant celebrates togetherness and pride. A troupe of 8 to 12 performers is the usual choice for a wedding stage or a grand entrance, and 4 to 6 performers suit a smaller majlis. Ayala or harbiya?
Both suit a wedding. Ayala is the more ceremonial dance, with a strong chant and steady movement. Harbiya is faster and gives the rifle or sword a bigger role, and it is common in the men's majlis. If your family has a tradition, tell us which dance you want. See harbiya.
The women's hall
Many Emirati weddings run a men's majlis and a women's hall. A Khaleeji dancer for the women's hall is often booked as a pair with the ayala troupe for the men. A solo Khaleeji dancer for 2 sets of 15 minutes usually costs AED 1,500 to AED 3,000. For ladies' gatherings, female dance groups can be arranged on request.
Plan the room
Ayala needs two lines facing each other with the drummers between them. Measure the open floor of the hall and tell us where the rows can stand. A troupe of 8 to 12 needs a long, clear strip of floor. Tell the venue in advance about the canes or any ceremonial rifles. Hotels list props in their internal approval.
Timing on the night
Fix the time of the arrival with your wedding planner and give the troupe a clear start signal. A single welcome set of 15 to 20 minutes covers most arrivals. If the celebration is long, 2 sets of 30 minutes with a break, or 3 sets of 20 minutes, keep the energy going. Troupes arrive in traditional dress and bring their own canes.

Book early for the season
The October to April wedding season fills fast. Book 3 to 4 weeks ahead, and earlier for a large troupe or a date near National Day. Send the date, the hall, the moment you want the dance and the number of guests on WhatsApp or through the quote form.
